Lunchtime poetry and other musings
What began as a place to talk about things I had learned, and observations made, turned into a place where I could post my poetry.
Most of the poems were written on my way to work or during a single lunch hour. Some required much thought, while others seemed to flow out. Most were either experiments in structure, or thoughts I felt the need to express.
Poetry is a form of therapy for me. You can skip over the dark ones, if you’d like. I don’t live in the darkness, but I feel it is best to express it, as opposed to holding it inside.
If you enjoy, or are moved by, even one of my poems, that would make me happy. I hope at least one of them makes you think or better yet inspires you to write your own poems, stories, or songs.
Below are groupings of poems. If this is your first time here, “My Favorites” may be a good place to start.
If you prefer, you may Listen to the poetry as read by the author.
